Whew

In Japan they have square watermelons:

They get square watermelons by growing them inside of square glass cases. That way they can fit easily into a refrigerator, and you can stack things on them. Square watermelons are expensive though (10,000 yen or about $82). Compare that to regular round watermelons which cost about $15-20 in Japan.

I’ve been running into several interesting and fun articles lately. So I may be putting a few up.

Weekend Recap:

Birthday Party-Canceled.- due to the wife of the man with the birthday having a baby :)

Dinosaur Exhibit-Canceled.

This left Nate and I feeling like we didn’t know what to do with ourselves since it was supposed to be a jam-packed weekend of fun.

So we went adventuring off to a cave. I have never been to a cave before so this was an awesome experience.

A few Pictures:

Our lovely assistant Haley explained our way through the cave:

The cave was decorated with lights inside along the pathways:

And on the next tour they were giving, were having people carol and had candles set up throughout the cave:

I can only imagine the acoustic abilities this cave would have provided. :)

After we hit up the cave, we grabbed something to eat and explored a new winery the just opened up as well as stopping by a small book store:

We then went to Nate’s parents house to see how their new remodeled bathroom project is coming along. This is his parents anniversary gift and christmas gift from their children.

It is hopping along and almost complete! This has taken up several free weekends.

Here is Nate applying wet sealant along the shower wall:

They also installed this new light fixture-which I LOVE.

The rest of the weekend came to an end watching the Badgers Football game and the Packers! Two awesome nail biting games!-if you’re a Packer/Badger fan, these were games to talk about! I was seriously bouncing up and down in my car on my way home.

The Pack is now 12-0!

I also (finally) sat down and finished an important app I’ve been wanting to complete for a while. I’ll let you know the results if I receive positive results.

I also got most of my Christmas shopping done as well with the click of a button! ;) The rest will have to wait and there’s a good reason why it has to wait until last-minute! :)

A few random thoughts that occurred throughout my weekend:

When in doubt with no gloves-Wear Woolley Stockings!”-works just as well as mittens, I promise.

“Please be kind and considerate where you park, you never know if one of the two parking spaces you take up are the last two in the lot.”-At the pet store to buy an automatic fish feeder.

Ahhhh…Sometimes I like to kick myself for not blogging enough. I realize the last few blogs have been here and there and not more about me. I apologize. But regardless, I find articles interesting and I hope you do too!

Heidi: Satisfied & Happy.

Healthy? *Slight Cough*

I have been keeping up with the C25K if that says anything! so far, soo good!-love my new Nike shoes!

Goal for this upcoming week:

Less Cookies and Candies, More Fruits and Veggies.

-christmas is right around the corner!

Snow? Not. Ugh. although I hear it is supposed to get a chilly 20 degrees this weekend. So hopefully snow, and there’s a chance that I am getting a special something this weekend that I’ve talked about previously. If you keep up with my blogs, you can probably guess!

Stay tuned for: It’s National ______ Week!
